December 10, 1966 – May 30, 1998

Flint resident Shannon Daniel Holihan attended Grand Blanc High School, was employed as a computer programmer for the Kmart corporation in Troy, and cared for his mother.  Holihan was murdered at age 31 after leaving the parking lot of the State Bar, his body found bludgeoned in the head behind a nearby restaurant.

Kraig Knorr

Pontiac resident Kraig Marlon Knorr was born in Alpena and attended Hillman Community High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy from 1977 to 1979 and later earned his B.A. at the University of Michigan-Flint, where he worked as a tutor in the writing center.  In the 1990s, Knorr worked as DJ at the State Bar in Flint and at Popper’s in Pontiac.

Cheri Jo Fiebig

Cheri Jo Fiebig pic

October 12, 1961 – November 19, 2013

Madison Heights High School grad Cheri Jo Fiebig performed for more than 30 years as a male impersonator, appearing at the State Bar in Flint, Silent Legacy in Inkster, and other bars in Metro Detroit in the 1980s and ‘90s.   She was featured on such local TV shows as Good Morning Detroit and Kelly & Company.  Fiebig later relocated to Nashville, Tennessee and died from lung cancer at age 52.

Carter Conway

May 27, 1963 – September 18, 2009

A 1981 graduate of Flint Southwestern High School, Carter Conway worked for the Hamady Brothers Grocery and the City of Flint.  A familiar patron at the State Bar and Copa Nightclub, he was a pianist, choir leader, and a member of Divine Peace Metropolitan Community Church in Waterford.

Bobby Duggins

July 2, 1934 – April 28, 1991

North Carolina native and Army veteran Bobby Duggins joined the mass migration of southerners who moved north in the 1950s to work in the auto industry.  Employed for 30 years with General Motors, Duggins was a longtime patron of Flint’s State Bar.
