Vanessa Goldman, also known as Vanessa Prygoski, graduated from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel High School in Wyandotte.  She earned her B.S. at Central Michigan University in 1987 and her M.I.L.S. from the University of Michigan in 1990.  A librarian at Cooley Law School, Baker College in both Owosso and Jackson, and for 18 years at UM-Flint, Goldman also played with the Metro Detroit LGBT Softball League.

Brian Scholz

August 12, 1972 – October 13, 2002

Born in Southfield, Brian Thomas Scholz resided in Warren and was employed at several Detroit area bars, including Pronto, Karma, Club Inuendo, and Male Box.  He took part in the Metro Detroit Softball League and donated time to numerous causes, including the Midwest AIDS Prevention Project, Steppin’ Out, and annual pride celebrations.

Bill Beetham

January 8, 1949 – July 24, 2017

Onetime Windsor resident and Chrysler employee, Garnet “Bill” Beetham was owner of the Male Box in Detroit and Male Box II in Warren.  He supported the Metro Detroit Softball League and numerous other gay causes in the Metro Area.
