John Kellogg

A descendant of the Kellogg cereal family, John Kellogg in the 1970s migrated from west Michigan to San Francisco where he worked in gay businesses, including the adult film industry.  He died from AIDS-related complications at age 44.

Ken Dudley

November 3, 1946 – April 28, 1991

A graduate of Wayne State University, Kenneth T. Dudley was a pioneering activist with the Detroit Gay Liberation Front and speaker at the city’s first pride march and rally in 1972.  He died from AIDS-related complications at age 44.

Anthony Welsh

August 3, 1958 – August 14, 1996

Dr. Anthony Welsh, a Dearborn Heights native and graduate of Michigan State University, established an HIV education speaker’s bureau in Ann Arbor under the auspices of the HIV/AIDS Resource Center.  He died from AIDS-related complications at age 38.

Garland Gillard II

Garland Gillard II operated PC Doctor, a computer repair business, and served as minister of music for Full Truth Unity Fellowship Church in Detroit.  He died from AIDS-related complications at age 35.
