Ciara La’Shae White

October 22, 1987 – January 10, 2013

Ciara La’Shae White was musically inclined at a young age, playing clarinet and bass clarinet in the concert and marching bands at Ruddiman Middle School in Detroit and taking part in the marching band, as well as junior ROTC, at Mackenzie High School.  She was a beloved member of the LGBT community and the Ruth Ellis Center.

Kyle Holton

October 1, 1987 – January 23, 2011

Born in Southfield, Kyle Bolton began writing plays in grade school.  The Beverly Hills resident earned his B.F.A. from Wayne State University and with two college friends formed the art4artillery Theater Company in 2009 to stage socially engaging and LGBT-themed works.  He lost his life in an automobile accident at age 23.

December 13, 1987 – September 13, 2013

A graduate of Ypsilanti High School, Ann Arbor resident Dillon Ptaszek earned a degree in marine biology and was employed at the aquatics store Fish Doctors when he lost his life in an automobile accident at age 25.  He was survived by Chris Kitely, his fiancé and partner of six years.
